The
chrysanthemums market is one of a kind; it’s colorful, versatile and diverse.
Cut Chrysanthemums are one of the sole products that can have both premium and basic varieties in the same flower category. It can be used as a focal flower or as filler.
Chrysanthemums are divided into different types:
- Daisy type – with a center disk and one or more rows of florets.
- Anemone type – with a cushion like center and prominent florets
- Ponpon type – is full double or small size flower
- Spider form – where the disk florets are concealed and the ray florets are tube like.
Each of the types can be used in a different way. Chrysanthemum can be found in a daily bouquet sol at your local supermarket store and in a breath taking bridal bouquet – it all depends on the type and color you choose to use.
Chrysanthemum is a cross border product offering endless opportunities and options.
Some chrysanthemums have unique characteristics like extraordinary vase life, which allows shipping by see and offering better price point to the buyer. Another one is its ability to be tinted – thugs allowing it to be any color you dream of.
Danziger as leading breeder took upon itself to be close to the growers and establish a local facility for production and R&D in Antioquia, Colombia.
At the end of August Danziger held open days event, for the 2nd year at its on facility, with hundreds of visitors from the leading companies in the floriculture industry. The visitors saw the leading brands like ATLANTIS® Series, GEORGIA™, CARA MIA™ and many more, the new introductions that were selected at the last year event like PAULINA™, CARLA™ and the new codes. After touring the farm, some of the promising codes were selected with a substantial number of votes – these will soon be named and available to the market.
Another promising variety that was introduced recently is MODI™ – a daisy type flower that was named after His honorable Indian Prime Minister Modi, who visited Israel and Danziger facilities couple of month ago.
