Pericallis hybrida
Pericallis hybrida, known commonly as ‘cineraria’ or ‘florist’s cineraria’, belongs to the Asteraceae family and is cherished for its vibrant, daisy-like blooms that appear in striking color combinations. This cool-season crop thrives in bright light, cool temperatures (10–15°C) and well-drained soil. Ideal for early-spring programs, Pericallis provides bold color for patio pots, mixed containers, and seasonal gift items.
Stick cuttings, reduce mist quickly, and keep cool at 60°–65°F (15°–18°C). pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed 50 ppm N early, then 100 ppm N. Fungicide at sticking and week 2; avoid high humidity.
