Impatiens walleriana
Impatiens walleriana, a classic member of the Balsaminaceae family, is beloved for its vibrant, nonstop blooms and ease of growth in shaded to semi-shaded areas. Thriving in well-drained soil, consistent moisture, and moderate fertility (pH 6.0–6.5), this versatile annual is perfect for bedding, borders, and containers, providing a reliable splash of color from spring through frost.
Remove from mist quickly; spray adjuvant at sticking. pH 5.8–6.5, EC 0.5–0.9, feed 50–80 ppm N depending on type. Optional Ethephon at 300 ppm after sticking resets flowering. Maintain 70°F (21°C); pinch not recommended. Fungicide at sticking and week 2.
