Echinacea

Echinacea

Echinacea, commonly referred to as ‘coneflower’, is a resilient perennial from the Asteraceae family, known for its bold, daisy-like blooms with prominent central cones. Thriving in full sun, well-drained soil, and low to moderate fertility, Echinacea is a favorite for pollinator gardens, prairie-style landscapes, and naturalistic plantings. With excellent drought tolerance and long-lasting color, it offers both ornamental beauty and ecological value.
Stick cuttings promptly, maintain 70°F (21°C). pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed 50 ppm N early, then 100 ppm N. Fungicide at sticking and week 2; pinch optional.
