Dianthus plumarius

Dianthus plumarius, commonly known as ‘cottage pink’, is a perennial species from the Caryophyllaceae family, admired for its finely fringed blooms and pleasant clove-like fragrance. It thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and moderate fertility, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, borders, and classic perennial beds. With its evergreen, silvery foliage and long blooming window, Dianthus plumarius offers timeless charm and strong landscape value.
Stick promptly, reduce mist early, keep 65°–68°F (18°–20°C). pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed gradually, fungicide at sticking and week 2, pinch optional.
