Argyranthemum frutescens
Argyranthemum frutescens, widely known as ‘marguerite daisy’, is part of the Asteraceae family and is cherished for its abundant daisy-like flowers and long blooming season. Thriving in full sun, well-drained soil, and moderate fertility, Argyranthemum is heat-tolerant and performs exceptionally well in patio containers, mixed planters, and landscape borders, providing continuous color from spring through fall.
Remove cuttings from mist quickly and provide long days for optimal flowering. Maintain 70°–72°F (21°–22°C) early, cooling to 65°–68°F (18°–20°C). pH 5.8–6.0, EC 0.8–1.2, feed 50 ppm N then 100–150 ppm N. Apply fungicide at sticking and week 2, with Daminozide at 750 ppm in week 3 if needed.
