Your NESIA Early-Spring Production Roadmap
Plan your 12 cm (5″) NESIA™ crop to be retail-ready by Week 13-14
NESIA early spring: ordering and propagation (W38-W3)
| 1W38-W50 | Ordering | Place your order in advance, because this ensures cutting availability. |
| 2W52-W1 | Plan & Stick | First, stick cuttings. Then, apply broad-spectrum fungicide on day of sticking. Start propagation at 72-74°F / 22-23°C, 50 ppm N. Also, no rooting hormone is required. Then, remove from mist as soon as possible. |
| 3W2-W3 | Rooting | Meanwhile, maintain active rooting. Also, keep pH around 5.6-6.0. Then, apply the second fungicide treatment in Week 2. However, avoid keeping plants under mist longer than necessary. |
NESIA early spring: liner and transplant (W3-W5)
| 4W3-W4 | Build the Liner | Next, begin cooling the crop. Then, increase feed to 100-150 ppm N. Also, for more vigorous varieties, Daminozide 2,000 ppm may be applied in Week 3. |
| 5W4-W5 | Transplant | After approximately 4 weeks of propagation, transplant into the final container. Also, maintain pH 5.6-6.0, EC 1.0-1.2. Also, pinching is recommended. |
NESIA early spring: finishing and shipping (W5-W14)
| 6W5-W12 | Finishing | Meanwhile, grow at 65-68°F / 18-20°C. Then, feed 150-200 ppm N. Also, maintain good airflow and even moisture. Then, use PGR as required to control plant size. Finally, scout regularly for Aphids, Thrips, Mites and Whitefly. |
| 7W12-W13 | Final Quality | Finally, finish cool for strong plant quality and vibrant flower color. Also, avoid saturated media and allow plants to dry before nightfall. Then, make final PGR decisions according to crop vigor and desired finished size. |
| 8W13-W14 | Ship & Retail | Ship market-ready NESIA™ to retail with vibrant flower coverage and strong shelf appeal, ready to bring early-season color to consumers. |
iThis schedule is a general guideline for 12 cm (5″) pots. Results may vary depending on location, season, variety, growing conditions and crop management. For larger pot sizes, allow additional finishing time.
