Perovskia atriplicifolia, commonly referred to as ‘Russian sage’, is a woody-based perennial prized for its airy, silver-green foliage and tall spikes of lavender-blue flowers. Belonging to the mint family (Lamiaceae), it is highly drought-tolerant, thrives in full sun, and performs well in poor, well-drained soils. Reliable in propagation with uniform sticking and rooting. Thrives in well-drained media with moderate feed, needing little to no PGR thanks to its natural upright habit and long violet-blue flower spikes.

With its ethereal texture and strong vertical presence, Perovskia brings a refined, naturalistic look to landscapes and mixed perennial borders. It is also deer-resistant and attractive to pollinators, making it a sustainable, low-maintenance choice.
