Gaillardia aristata, commonly known as ‘blanket flower’, is a hardy perennial from the Asteraceae family, native to North America and celebrated for its fiery, daisy-like blooms and strong adaptability to harsh growing conditions. It thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and low to moderate fertility, showing excellent drought resistance and long flowering performance. Ideal for xeriscapes, prairie-style gardens, and borders, Gaillardia aristata provides vibrant color and pollinator attraction with minimal care.
Stick promptly, maintain 70°F (21°C). pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed gradually, fungicide at sticking and week 2, pinch optional.
