Diascia barberae
Diascia barberae, part of the Scrophulariaceae family, is admired for its delicate, twin-spurred blooms that bring soft yet vibrant color to cool-season plantings. Thriving in full sun to partial shade, well-drained soil, and moderate fertility, Diascia offers excellent performance in early spring and autumn programs. Its naturally mounded habit and continuous flowering make it ideal for hanging baskets, mixed containers, and landscape borders.
Stick cuttings promptly, remove from mist, and spray adjuvant. pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0, feed 50 ppm N then 100–150 ppm N. Daminozide 1,500–2,000 ppm as needed; pinch week 4 or at transplant. Fungicide at sticking and week 2.
