Lobularia hybrida
Lobularia hybrida– often called ‘sweet alyssum’- is loved for its delicious honey fragrance and endless clusters of tiny blooms. Thriving in full sun to light shade, well‑drained soil, and moderate fertility, it flowers continuously from early spring through fall. Unlike traditional alyssum, Danziger’s genetics deliver outstanding heat tolerance, keeping plants fresh and floriferous even in midsummer. The result is season‑long “carpets” of color that draw pollinators and add softness to baskets, combos, and landscape edges.
Stick cuttings promptly, remove from mist early. Maintain 65°–68°F (18°–20°C), pH 5.5–5.8, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed 50 ppm N, increasing to 100–125 ppm. Apply fungicide at sticking and week 2; avoid excessive humidity.
Danziger’s Lobularia lineup offers growers a rich palette- from pure snow white to lavender blush and deep violet- paired with strong branching and exceptional garden longevity across two complementary series:
