Gaillardia hybrida
Gaillardia hybrida, commonly referred to as ‘blanket flower’, is a hardy perennial from the Asteraceae family, known for its bold, daisy-like blooms in fiery shades of red, orange, and yellow. It thrives in full sun, well-drained soil, and moderate to low fertility, showing excellent drought resistance and continuous blooming throughout the summer. Gaillardia is ideal for pollinator-friendly landscapes, rock gardens, and low-maintenance borders, offering vivid color and strong garden performance.
Stick promptly, maintain 70°F (21°C). pH 5.8–6.2, EC 0.8–1.0. Feed gradually, fungicide at sticking and week 2, pinch optional.
